Charltone Music Bio

Charltone Music is spearheaded by Hampton Roads, VA  based artist Charlton Phaneuf. He performs regularly solo- acoustic & collaborates w/other musicians on occasion to form The Charltones Duo/Trio/etc. A vast history as an entertainer in many projects has granted him a wealth of experience and a diverse repertoire. Having started out as a drummer and evolving into a self-taught guitarist/ singer-songwriter, Charlton remains true to his craft, applying his own twist on cover songs & adding to an ever growing list of unique originals. Incorporating the use of looping in live shows allows room for impromptu grooves and experimentation. He is honored to have shared the stage and/or opened shows for the likes of such artists as the late Col. Bruce Hampton, Derek Trucks, Anne McCue, Cy Curnin,

 Nick Harper, Corey Smith, Keller Williams & That One Guy.
